Below Teams can now register for 2024 Spring/Fall Seasons for Tackle and Flag Football. Registration is now open . Minor Football Coaches and Managers can now register to have your teams participate in the fall or spring season. Coaches and Managers must agree to have there athletes participate in the Online Learning Platform that is included with the jerseys. We will be offering this to 150 Teams across Turtle Island. All registrations are subject for review. All Qualified teams ranging from U8 to U18. Each jersey kit will vary with Flag and Tackle, Every kit will have an Orange Shirt Story work book, access to the LMS Learning Management System 2 Coaching hats Included with all qualified registrations. Everything you need to inform, educate and engage young athletes, about the true history of the Indian Residential School System. While quantities last. This program is Free for Minor Football Teams.

The Orange Jersey Project uses the power of sport to educate young athletes about the true history of the Indian residential school system, strengthen the path toward truth and reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples and promote the physical and mental wellness of Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth through sport.
2024 Online Learning Platform LMS (Learning management system)
Welcome 2024 Minor Football Teams. Minor Football Teams use QR or this link. Every Jersey has a Special QR Code (Minor Football Jerseys) located on the upper right of each jersey that links to an online learning and sharing platform (referred to as the Learning Management System or LMS). Link to be available Spring/Fall 2024
In the LMS, we will introduce Phyllis Webstad and include videos by Professional Indigenous Athletes sharing their experience with former Indian Residential Schools.
The LMS is an engaging environment for young Indigenous and Non Indigenous athletes, to discover the true history of Indian Residential Schools. With the goal to encourage learning, engagement, sharing, and activities.
We encourage all Athletes that register for the 2024 Season, to register using an individual email for registration. One athlete per email. Every Qualified participant that completes all Modules will then be entered into a random draw for each Division U8 to U18 to be eligible for Unique prizes.

Learning tools and resources will be provided by the Orange Shirt Society A special thanks to our generous sponsors at Canadian Tire, this program is at Zero cost to teams.
Once your team has been approved and receives the orange jersey package , we invite you to dedicate practices or Host your very own Every Child Matters Game throughout the season and spend a few minutes acknowledging the Treaty Lands upon which you are playing and the Indigenous Peoples who reside there.
